Our next meeting on the 18th March will be our 5th and final competition for this season, 'Spring' or 'People and Places'. We will also have the judging of the Henley Digital Imaging Competition.

Please send your Digital images for the above competition to me (Alex Watson) as Brian is away.

Those who wish to enter prints in the L&CPU; please have them ready by the end of this month, March.

Many thanks to Tony Redford for judging our 2009 Annual. All members were impressed with Tony's constructive comments and we all enjoyed his gentle humour and good natured critique. Thanks to Christine for organising the refreshments and for all members who put in entries. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Our Vice Chair, Christine Robinson, has been running a children's photo group with another of our members, Sandy Pownall, for some time now, and it has gone from strength to strength, thanks to the sterling work they have both put into to it. For more information click here.

 The Group was formed in 1970 and throughout has continued to help people with varying degrees of experience in the art of photography. We embrace all forms of photography; film, slide & digital so whatever is your forte there is something for you.

The Group’s programme of meetings cover hands-on practical demonstrations, tutorials, presentations from guest speakers on a wide variety of photographic subjects and arranged visits to places of interest. 

The Groups equipment is available for use by all its members, including a ‘stand only’ ink jet printer.

Interested? Then why not come along to one of our meetings. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced photographer you will be made most welcome and be sure to have an enjoyable evening amongst friends. There is a nominal visitor’s charge of £1. We are affiliated to the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU). Which gives us the opportunity to broaden our horizons to the whole range of skills and expertise that these clubs can offer.
